Some Christians carry with them the slogan: "I am too busy. I am really busy." They are laboring day and night, and there is not a moment of free time.

The Lord wants us to maintain our quietness in Him. He does not want us to miss the top blessing. We have to realize that it is not by much work that we receive the reward. We receive the reward by carrying out God's will faithfully. If something is not the will of God, what benefit is there for us to do it?

It is not because we want forsake our duty, but because we want to please the Lord more and have more time to fellowship with Him that we do not allow ourselves to be distracted. In summary, it is better to be busy in prayer than to be busy in work. A person can accomplish more by prayer than by being busy.

마르다는 준비하는 일이 많아 마음이 분주한지라 - 눅 10:40

어떤 그리스도인들은 입버릇처럼, "나는 아주 바쁘다. 나는 너무 바쁘다"라고 한다. 그들은 아침부터 밤까지 바쁘게 일하고 조금도 여유가 없다.

주님은 우리가 그분 안에서 고요하게 있기를 원하신다. 그분은 우리가 가장 좋은 분복을 잃어버리기를 원치 않으신다. 우리는 일을 많이 한 사람이 주님의 보상을 얻는 것이 아님을 알아야 한다. 상을 얻는 사람은 충심으로 하나님의 뜻을 행하는 사람이다. 어떤 것이 하나님의 뜻이 아니라면 우리가 그것을 한들 무슨 유익이 있는가?

우리가 분주하지 않는 것은 분복을 포기하려는 것이 아니라 주님의 기쁨을 더 많이 얻고, 그분과 교통하는 시간을 더 많이 가지려는 것이다. 결론적으로 기도에 바쁜 것이 일에만 바쁜 것 보다 낫다. 기도하는 것이 바쁜 것보다 더 많은 것을 이룰 수 있다.
