James - The first martyr among the apostles

Today many people like to read Paul's excellent Epistles; they like to hear about Peter's zealous works and John's
wonderful visions. Yet they toss James aside and subconsciously forget about him. They do not realize that every work should be based on James. Peter won three thousand people to the Lord in one day, and Paul established churches
everywhere. Yet without James's suffering, the Lord could not be satisfied. When the Lord came to this world, He took the standing of one who was rejected. If we do not suffer with Him, we cannot satisfy His heart no matter what
wonderful things we do.

오늘날 많은 사람들이 바울의 뛰어난 서신을 읽기 좋아하고, 베드로의 봉사에 대한 열심과, 요한의 놀라운 이상을 듣고자 하지만 야고보를 멀리 던져버리고 잊어버렸다 그러나 그들은 모든 사역의 기초가 야고보의 면에 있음을 모르고 있다. 베드로와 같이 하루에 삼천명을 주께로 이끌고 바울처럼 각처에서 교회를 세운다 할지라도 야고보의 고난이 없다면 주님은 여전히 만족하시지 않는다 그것은 주님이 이 땅에 오실 때 그러한 거절당한 위치에 서 계셨기 때문이다. 만약 우리가 그와 함께 고난을 받지 않는다면 우리가 아무리 놀라운 일을 한다하더라도 그분의 마음을 만족케 할 수 없다.
