Moses had two kinds of excuses here. The first was that he was not eloquent and was slow
of speech. The second was that even after he talked with God that day, he still could not
speak. He had completely denied himself befDre God. He reckoned that nothing of himself
could stand before God. He had already learned a deep lesson. In those forty years, he
left behind everything that was natural and of the self...Nevertheless, it is of no
benefit to merely realize that we are incapable in ourselves. The most important thing is
to know the power of God. This is resurrection... Moses not
only wanted to hide himselfi but he had become sluggish. He even thought that it was
better for God not to send him. Brothers, it is good that we realize our own weakness. But
if our weakness takes away our faith in God's strengthening, this llnowledge of ourselves
is harmful. Excessive consideration of our weakness is as likely to take us away from our
trust in God as excessive consideration of our power, Many retreats and withdrawals are
not signs of spiritual humility, but are timidity and laziness caused by our
introspection. W8 must be strengthened by His power on the positive side to become strong.

하나님은 모세를 다루신다
여기서 모세는 두 가지 사양하는 말을 한다. 처음에는 그가 본래
말에 능치 못하고 입이 뻣뻣하며 혀가 둔하다고 말하고, 다음에는
하나님과 대화한 이후에도 역시 말을 할 수 없다고 말한다. 그는
하나님 앞에서
자신을 말살하여 호리라도 남겨두지 않는다 그는 스스로 하나님
앞에서 한가지 일도 감당할 수 없다고 여긴다. 그는 이미 아주 깊은
공과를 배웠다 그는사십 년 동안 이미 자신과 천연적인 모든 것을
벗어 버렸다..
그러나 자신이 쓸모없다는 것을 아는 것만으로는 여전히 소용이
없다. 가장 중요한 것은 바로 하나님의 능력을 아는 것이다. 이것이
바로 부활이다..
모세는 숨고자 할 뿐 아니라 게을렀다. 그는 의외로 하나님이
그를보내시지 않는 것이 가장 좋다고 생각했다. 형제여, 자신의
연약함을 아는 것은 물론 좋다. 그러나 만일 자신의 연약함 때문에
하나님이 당신을 강하게 하실 수 있다는 것을 믿지 않는다면,
자신을 정확히 아는 것일지라도 이것은 해롭다. 지나치게 자신의
연약함을 보는 것은 지나치게 자신의 능력을 보는 것과 마찬가지로
우리로 하나님을 의지할 수 없게 한다 많은 위축과 후퇴는 결코
영적인 겸손이 아니며, 자신을 돌아봄으로써 두려움과 게으름이
생기게 된다. 우리는 적극적인 방면에서 하나님의 큰 능력을
의지하여 강한 사람이 되어야 한다.
